Why Agriculture & Livestock? Beyond providing food and economic opportunities, agriculture fosters valuable skills like resilience, responsibility, and collaboration. Working with animals instills compassion and respect for living beings. These values are the bedrock of lasting peace and prosperity.
Engaging Youth:
Hands-on training: We equip young people with practical skills in farming, animal husbandry, and business management. From planting crops to breeding livestock, they learn the intricacies of food production and sustainability.
Building networks: We connect them with experienced farmers, mentors, and market opportunities, facilitating knowledge exchange and building a supportive network for young agripreneurs.
Youth are the driving force for sustainable food production. Armed with fresh ideas, tech-savvy skills, and bold energy, young people are uniquely positioned to transform traditional farming into a profitable, climate-smart sector.
Entrepreneurial spirit: We nurture their potential as agripreneurs, guiding them in establishing, managing, and marketing their own agricultural ventures. This fosters financial independence and empowers them to create positive change within their communities.

The model bridges agrifood systems, climate resilience, and grassroots peacebuilding by utilizing poultry and small ruminant farming as economic anchors for community cohesion. By establishing shared livestock management frameworks across rural and cross-border communities, the project transforms potential resource conflicts into cooperative livelihoods and sustainable development.
This global platform highlighted YPB’s commitment to driving youth-led diplomacy, One Health principles, and food security solutions across West Africa in partnership with international multilateral partners.
