Overview & Our Core Commitment Cont.

Water scarcity and weak governance disproportionately impact women, young people, and marginalized communities.

Through localized community interventions and high-level regional policy advocacy, we work to ensure that young people are not just beneficiaries of water development, but active decision-makers in governance frameworks across the Mano River Union basin and the ECOWAS region.

Key Pillars of Our WASH Strategy:

Community-Led Hygiene & Access: Mobilizing youth groups to advocate for safe sanitation infrastructure and sustainable water resource practices at the grassroots level.

Gender & Social Inclusion (GESI): Breaking down structural barriers so women, girls, and marginalized youth have an equal voice in local water management committees.

Policy Engagement & Peacebuilding: Linking local water security with regional peacebuilding, ensuring natural resources unite communities rather than divide them.

Regional Policy Engagement & Milestones:

Young Peace Builders consistently brings frontline youth perspectives to major diplomatic and strategic forums shaping the future of water security in West Africa.
